Daniel Chou

Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Daniel has a deep seated interest in Traditional Chinese philosophy and arts, Daniel took up TCM study under the tutelage of Dr. Chou Geo-Yu at Yong-An Tang Acupuncture and Moxibustion Institute, and joined as a full time member of The Yi-Ching Association of Taiwan.  Immigrated to Canada in 1992, Daniel continued his TCM study.  In 2002, he was granted the Master Degree in Science of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at South Baylor University in the United States.  In the same year, he passed the examinations set by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and obtained the California state license for acupuncturist.  Daniel has been a passionate practitioner of TCM and instructor of Tai Chi in Toronto area. In 2010, Daniel was formally inducted as a student under Dr. Adam Chen, currently studying and working full time with Dr. Chen at AC 99 Health Centres.

Daniel also has a great compassion in martial arts.  He started his training during his early teens. While learning the way of the sword and attained kendo San-Dan (3rd Rank Black belt) in 15 years, considerable time was also spent studying the Yang style Tai Chi and saber.  Daniel later followed Master Wu Kuo-Chung to further specialize in Grand Master Cheng Man-Ching's 37 forms of Tai Chi and sword, and Taoist Qi-Gong.  He strives to incorporate Tai Chi and Qi-Gong into his TCM practice to achieve a higher benefit to his patients.
