1979 – 1984    

Admitted to a five-year full time traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) program at Jiangxi University of TCM, Nanchang, China. Completed all courses and graduated with honors. Obtained a Bachelor Degree of Medicine in TCM.

1984 – 1987

Passed a set of national rigorous examinations and enrolled in a graduate program of TCM acupuncture at the Graduate School, China Academy of TCM, Beijing, China, the top research institution of TCM in China. Earned a Master’s Degree of Acupuncture.

1987 – 1995

Worked in the Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, China Academy of TCM, Beijing, after graduation. Involved in acupuncture teaching, research and clinical activities. 

1995 – 1996

Awarded Fellowship of the World Health Organization and Selected as a Visiting Scientist to University of Maryland at Baltimore Medical School. Joined a acupuncture research project from the National Institute of Health, USA.

1997 – 2004

Taught a four-year full time acupuncture program at the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences. Treated patients in its teaching clinics using TCM acupuncture.

2000 – 2004

Practiced TCM acupuncture at Mt. Sinai Hospital Wasser Pain Management Center, the first acupuncture clinic in a mainstream Canadian hospital.

2004 – 2008

Taught a TCM program of continuing education at Ryerson University.

2006 - 2009

Studied at Massage Therapy Program of Centennial College in Toronto and graduated with honors. Registered as RMT.

2001 – Present

Invited to a multidisciplinary clinic practicing TCM and acupuncture in Toronto, Ontario

2005 – Present

Founded an independent private practice of TCM and acupuncture in North York, Ontario

2008 - Present

Appointed and re-appointed by the Ministry of Health Ontario as a council member of the College of TCM Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO)

2009 – Present

Invited to join the team of AC99 Health Centres
